K.Art 30th Anniversary Special Exhibition

Greetings

June 4th, 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the launch of K.ArtMarket
+K.Art Studio. We have held over 80 solo and group exhibitions at K.ArtMarket
and over 100 at K.Art Studio. We are grateful for the support of the artists
who have held our exhibitions, the media people who have been involved,
and the customers who have been interested in K.Art, which has allowed
us to continue our activities to this point. To be honest, we didn't have any
big ambitions when we first opened K.ArtMarket, and we just started it
somehow. When K.ArtMarket was launched, artist spaces were opened
one after another, and an unprecedented "indie art boom" occurred, mainly
in the Chubu region. During that time, my wife, Asako Kato, joined us in our
activities after we married her, and we have been running the space together.
In 2009, we closed K.ArtMarket and changed the name of the space to
K.Art Studio, which is now K.Ar Studio. This exhibition will display works,
documents, QR codes, etc. by artists from K.ArtMarket+K.Art Studio. It will
be a hybrid exhibition where you can enjoy videos on your smartphone using
the QR code on the performance site. We look forward to your visit.
